Woody Pirtle
Our newest Electronic Design project is based around a graphic designer we admire. My choice was to do my project on Woody Pirtle, a very gifted graphic designer. However, the picture I had found in Graphic Design U.S.A. did not exist on the Internet, something I discovered after about forty-five minutes of searching. The only thing close to it was in a very small frame buried in the archives of Pirtle's website. After all the trouble, I finally decided to scan the image directly into my project from the book. Having finally gotten started on this poster, I figured it wouldn't be a bad idea to post a picture of this missing poster for others to see if needed.

Emotion Design
Our emotion designs were very interesting pieces. My two designs were based around the words "Enthralled" and "Longing", and they are both very well portrayed by the fading and spinning designs that were the basis for the arrangements.

Negative Space/Logo Design 2
This design puts a bit of a different spin on the usual
"New York Times On the Web" logo. This one is wrinkled, distorted, and appears to float towards the viewer.

Negative Space/Logo Design 1
This particular design took quite awhile to plan out and even longer to create, however I was very happy with the results.
Color Design
This was the absolute last pece we created for our design books. It incorporates our newly learned techniques and the use of color.
Combination Design
This design was the final page on the inside of our 4 Design books. It contains all of the techniques we used in our previous designs.

Pattern Design
This is my pattern design, it took awhile to get it up here as I was unable to locate the flash drive it was stored on for about a week!

Cover Design
This will be the cover page for my design book, the words read: "Pater Noster, qui es in caelis, sanctificetur nomen tuum." Which is the first line of The Lord's Prayer in Latin. I found that this was a good fit for the cover page based on its artful composition. Also, this is supposed to be the final piece we work on, however, I skipped ahead temporarily as the final two designs were giving me a bit of trouble.
